dc.description.abstract | In modern warfare, understanding the operational environment has expanded to encompass the digital domain, requiring military organizations to process vast amounts of data for situational awareness. Achieving decision dominance, crucial for successful operations, necessitates a clear understanding of information advantage and its measurement, a challenge given the complexity of the digital environment. Proposed models for information advantage and decision dominance aim to provide measurable definitions and actionable insights for commanders, emphasizing data advantage and situational awareness. These models, grounded in systems thinking, highlight the complexity of decision making in the information age and suggest avenues for quantitative analysis to enhance decision-making capabilities. As warfare evolves with increased data, automation, and operational speed, effective decision making remains paramount, demanding innovative approaches to modeling and measuring decision dominance. | |
