She wrote this paper to fulfill her research requirement for a senior faculty course titled Race, Ethnicity, and the Nation. Her thesis will focus on gender and sexual violence during the Rwandan genocide.Item LUPAE ET LENA: Sexual Morality in the Roman Republic(West Point Press, 2011) Mitchell, Peter N.; N/APeter N. Mitchell is a senior studying International History at the United States Military Academy. He wrote this paper for a course on the History of Ancient Greece and Rome. Sears is a senior studying American History at the United States Military Academy. He wrote this paper for a class on the American Civil War. His initial interest in Confederate spirituality arose after reading the memoirs of Confederate chaplains.Item Monmouth: Battling the Elements(West Point Press, 2011) Byrn, James; N/AJames Byrn is a senior and a Military History major at the United States Military Academy. He wrote this paper for a course on the History of Revolutionary America because of his interest in how the Continental Army proved victorious after the quagmire of Valley Forge.Item Failure to Free an Enemy: How the Dynamics of WWII Prevented the Success of OSS Operations in Hungary(West Point Press, 2011) Leimbach, Diane; N/ASecond Lieutenant Diane Leimbach graduated from the United States Military Academy in 2011 with a bachelor’s in American History. The History Department recognized Diane with the General of the Army Omar N. Bradley Award for excellence in historical research for this work, which she wrote as a senior thesis under the guidance of Professor Steve Waddell. She is now serving as an intelligence officer in the 1st Brigade, 1st Infantry Division at Ft. Riley, Kansas.Item The Power of Inspiration: How Joan of Arc Turned the Tide of the Hundred Year's War(West Point Press, 2011) Richardson, Thomas D.; N/ASecond Lieutenant Thomas Richardson graduated from West Point in 2011. He majored in International History, where he focused on Medieval History. Thomas branched Military Intelligence with a branch detail in Armor, and is now serving with the 2nd Squadron, 16th Calvary Regiment at Ft. Benning, Georgia.
